Greetings,
Here we are, near the end of our 15th school
year! Every year we take a moment to appreciate
the growth and progress that each and every child
has made this year and we hope that you can see it,
too! Good-bye to all of the kindergartners that are
graduating to 1st grade. :( Many of them have
been with us for 3 years and we will surely miss
them.
Have a fun, safe summer! Look for the first of our
2006-2007 newsletters coming in August.

Remember that a $100.00 nonrefundable deposit is
due on June 1 for the 2006-2007 school year. This
$100.00 will be deducted from your September
tuition. You will receive a newsletter in the
middle of August with all the information you will
need for the coming year. If you have questions in
the mean time - please don't hesitate to call. The
school answering machines will be checked every few
days.

Don't forget to include us in your summer plans.
Summer school is a great way to keep your child on
top of his/her academic skills, get a head start on
new skills, and simply enjoy a fun time with other
children his/her age! You can sign up for one week,
the whole summer, or anything in between. It's up
to you.

During the month of March we learned about our
clothes in sign language and in April we learned signs
for different people. Not all of the words are shown
on the online browser, however, handouts are
available from your teacher if you wish. Have fun
and encourage your kids to try sentences with these
words.

Last Day of School |

Barker Creek Montessori's last day of school
will be
May 25th. Steele Creek Montessori's last
day of
school will be June 16. Our
annual 'end of the year' picnics will be the following
day (BCM - May 26, SCM - June 17). The picnics
will
again
be held at Island Lake County
Park. Plan to arrive anytime after 10:30 AM and
meet at the playground with the beach area (the
middle of the three
parking lots on Island Lake Rd.). Bring a lunch,
blanket, swimsuit, towel, sand toys, etc. The water
is quite cold, but there are several kids that just
can't resist getting wet! The teachers will be there
until about 2:00 PM.
