Festival of Arts for Children

We have been invited to participate in the Festival of Arts for Children this year. This even takes place at Evergreen Park on Tuesday, July 31 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. We will have a table set up amongst many others with a couple of craft projects for children to do. This promises to be a very fun (free) event that will include art activities, live music, food, and fun. Bring the whole family!

We Need Your Help! We will be doing two of our favorite projects from the schools: African Kufi hats and South American maracas. In order to allow potentially hundreds of children to make maracas we need hundreds of toilet paper rolls! Please save up your toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls over the next couple weeks and bring them by to us. You can just put them in a plastic bag and drop them on the doorstep at Barker Creek Montessori at any time. If you plan on coming to the event early you can bring them to us there.

We appreciate your help!

Whaling Days Parade!

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Maria Montessori's first school, several of the Montessori schools in the area are going to be marching in the Whaling Days Parade. We would like to participate! The parade is going to be held on Saturday July 28 in Silverdale. If you would like to march with us just meet in the Target parking lot at 9:30 AM. As we march we will be throwing little frisbees, holding balloons, and singing some of our favorite songs. Please wear either a blue or white shirt and parents please plan to walk with your child(ren). The parade route is fairly short but make sure you bring water if it is hot.

Alumni, current students, new students and siblings welcome!

If you are planning to attend please send a quick email to Jillian McClendon at Jillian@MontessoriSchoolsofCK.com and let her know how many kids will be marching with you so she can get enough balloons.

This should be a very fun day and we hope that many of you can make it!
